Bible Study Lessons: What We Can Learn from the Women of the Bible

Summary

When we think about heroes and the main "characters" in the Bible, Jesus is justifiably number one. Trailing right behind him, though, are Moses, David, Abraham, Noah, Paul, and Peter. Notice anything about that list? They're all men, aren't they? Each of these men has a significant role in helping us understand how, why, and what it means to be obedient to God, but they aren't the only ones. God's Word also inspires and teaches us through the stories of several women whose lives are just as relevant as those of their male counterparts: women like Mrs. Noah, Hannah, Esther, Naomi, Rahab, Elizabeth, Lydia, and Mary, the mother of our Savior. This book looks at the lives of the women in the Bible from the perspective of what they have to offer women today in relation to living faithfully and obediently in the midst of a chaotic society, the pressures of family and work, and of trying to discover who it is God created you to be.
