Summary

I felt like a ghost...like a dead spirit still walking the earth and left behind. These were the thoughts flowing through my mind and tearing at my heart as I stood on the pier staring out into a lake of open water. This was my comfort place beyond the woods, where I strayed away from the world and hid away from the life that I once knew. Pretty dark, right? Well that's me, Emery, 24 years old and feeling alone in this big city, haunted by last year's tragedy that changed my life forever.
