Summary

I’m Frankie Greco. I’m a strong, independent woman. I have to be. Because, I can tell when people are lying. Literally. Since I can remember, a little voice inside my head has whispered to me whenever I hear lies. And everybody lies. It’s hard to avoid, when there are so many reasons. To save people pain. To save your own ass. To get revenge. Or because you just can’t help it. I could go on and on. To distract myself, I focus on my career. I recently bought out what used to be one of the hottest nightclubs in Los Angeles, so it’s not hard. There are few people I let in, and only they know my secret. But romantic relationships? They never last long. Once the big lies start, I’m out. And trust me, they always start, sooner or later. Usually sooner. That is, until I met Julian. I don’t know if it was the instant, primal attraction or his ability to say things in just such a way, but I couldn’t get a read on this guy to save my life, much less decide if he was even worth trying to figure out. But who was I kidding? Nobody, that’s who. Because, the little voice inside also tells me when I’m lying to myself. But even I wasn’t prepared for what letting him in would start and the pieces of my past that would come back to haunt me, leaving no part of my life unscathed. I’d gotten cocky. I know that now.
