Have you ever faced manipulation in your life? It may be a salesman trying to convince you to buy a product, or it may be a restaurant that attracts you to dinner in it. On the other hand, some emotional manipulators use more force and are more overt in their tactics. They will use tactics that will leave you shameless, in fear, or use guilt trips, and often the victim will be left immobilized and stunned. This is exactly where the manipulator wants them to come from. That is why it is important to pay attention to the subtleties of mental manipulation. The most frequent reaction of each of us is to stay away from these people, but this is certainly not the best solution. It would be much easier to learn these techniques of mental manipulation to get to know them and not be fooled, rather than running away out of fear. Each one of us can learn them, it is not necessary to have a Ph.D., but simply the right method, training, and a good open-mindedness. Manipulating others is a good way to get what you want. Whatever the reason, if you want to play your cards right, experiment with different manipulation techniques and learn how to act in different situations. It is fine to use stoicism to learn how to manage anger and disappointment, and stoicism also provides useful conduct for times of crisis.
