Summary

Luke Crawford is crazy about football. A walking encyclopedia of football facts and trivia, he throws his enthusiasm into being captain of the Swillsby Swifts, a Sunday team made up mostly of boys like himself - boys who love football but get few chances to play in real matches. Luke is convinced that good teamwork and plenty of practice can turn his side into winners on the pitch, but he faces a real challenge when the Swifts are drawn to face the Padley Panthers - the league stars - in the first round of the Sunday League Cup.
