Summary

The theological insights of Calvin and the Reformers not only provided the theological basis to support the future massive missionary expansion of Protestant churches, but emphasises the Church mission as a consequence of their theology. This sermon by the Reformer focuses on St. Paul and his command to pray for all people. The mercy of God extends to all the world, he argues, and is not anymore restricted to only a specific group.
