The Waiting Room

Summary

After dying in a hospital, a woman - now a ghostly apparition - discovers a waiting room from where the recently deceased are escorted to the afterlife. There, she awaits the return of an angelic little girl, "the maître d'", to take her, unaware she's destined for someplace other than where the little girl would like to take her.
