Where the West Ends

Summary

In this historical fiction adventure tale, loner mountain man Jesse Tipps travels to California in 1841. After a near brush with death at the hands of hostile Indians, he recuperates at Fort Ross and there learns the ways of the Russian settlers and Pomo natives. Later he becomes embroiled in Captain John C. Fremont's Bear Flag Revolt and must decide where his allegiances lie as the fate of the West is shaped forever.
