The enduring question has been: "Where did Cain get his wife?" The churches have not given an acceptable answer to this question. Their inability to answer this question creates great doubt as to the accuracy of the Bible. More and more Christians are giving up on defending the Bible. It is vitally important for Christians to be able to answer this question because it relates to defending the fact that all humans are descendants of Adam and Eve, and only their descendants can be saved. Cain's wife has been talked about in countries all over the world for hundreds of years. Skeptics of the Bible have used Cain's wife time and again to try to discredit the book of Genesis as a true historical record. This story of Cain's wife is my initial attempt to reconcile the Bible with the undisputable scientific evidence for creative evolution. I have combined four sets of information: The current Bible, the old Bible before the major changes in late BC and early AD, other ancient literature, and the scientific facts of creation/evolution. I try to clarify why the Bible gives two accounts of the creation of Adam and Eve. The Bible actually describes the creation of two women for him. The first was Lilith (Genesis 1:27) but her name was removed from the current Bible. However her name can be seen in the older version of the Bible that existed before later-day changes were made. Eve, Adam's second mate, was created from Adam's rib and her creation is described in Genesis 2:18. Lilith has been systematically removed from the Bible, except for one reference in Isaiah 34:14. Not only was Lilith removed from the Bible, but she was demonized. The facts remain that she did exist and she did have children that are mentioned throughout the ancient literature. At lease one of her daughters was called Lilim. Lilim became Cain's wife.

A comprehensive examination of the many ways the spirit world affects the material plane and our minds. It: Provides a detailed guide to the afterlife and its inhabitants Reveals the spirit influence behind many mental disorders as well as psi abilities and creative genius Includes checklists of symptoms of spirit “overshadowing”, methods from the world’s top exorcists, and instructions on how to free unwanted spirits from the material plane We are spirits housed in a body, and just as houses can be haunted, so can people. When the living succumb to dissociative states of consciousness, they become a magnet for lost but clinging spirits. Known as jinn, dybbuk, daemon, wuqabi, or simply the undead, they hover unseen on the earth plane, ready to inhabit the most suitable body available. Documenting the life of wandering spirits and their impact on vulnerable human targets, Susan Martinez offers a radical departure from the standard psychological explanations for a host of pathological behaviors - including multiple personality, autism, epilepsy, migraines, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD, self-destructive urges, and strange outbursts - and reveals that hallucinations are often true impressions of spirit input. Martinez explains how mental health comes down to the delicate balance between self-control and spirit control. When trauma triggers an escape response, the soul takes flight, leaving the mind susceptible to possession by discarnate entities. However, the spirit world can also bestow gifts upon those whose psyches are open, such as in the case of mediums, shamans, people who communicate with angels, and many of the world’s creative geniuses. Martinez presents “overshadowing” by spirits as a universal, cross-cultural phenomenon, documenting modern and traditional accounts as well as corroborating indigenous beliefs. She examines soul decay, soul travel both before and after death, and how knowledge of the spirit world can offer positive treatments for disorders like schizophrenia and autism. Providing a detailed guide to the spirit world and its inhabitants, the author offers checklists of symptoms of “overshadowing”, methods from the world’s top exorcists, and instructions on how to free spirits so they can continue their journey into the beyond - all the tools necessary to forearm us against soul snatchers and other enemies of the light.

The life of one man has perhaps never been the centre of such passionate debate as with the case of Jesus the Messiah, peace be upon him. While some consider him imposter, others believe he was saved from being hung on the cross by ascending into the heavens physically. In this book, with compelling testimony, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, peace be upon him, presents the true and accurate biographical findings on the life of Jesus. He argues with conclusive historical evidence that Jesus survived the crucifixion and travelled to Kashmir, India, where he died at the ripe age of 120. Toward the end of this treatise the author also sheds light on a prophecy regarding Muhammad Husain of Batala and the purpose of a prayer-duel with the same.

Since his retirement as Archbishop of Canterbury and his return to academic life (Master of Magdalene College Cambridge), Rowan Williams has demonstrated a massive new surge of intellectual energy. In this new audiobook, he turns his attention to St Augustine. St Augustine not only shaped the development of Western theology, he also made a major contribution to political theory (The City of God) and, through his Confessions, to the understanding of human psychology. Rowan Williams has an entirely fresh perspective on these matters, and the chapter titles in this new audiobook demonstrate this at a glance - 'Language Reality and Desire', 'Politics and the Soul', 'Paradoxes of Self Knowledge', 'Insubstantial Evil'. As with his previous titles, Dostoevsky, The Edge of Words and Faith in the Public Square, this new study is sure to be a major contribution on a compelling subject.

Religion is at the heart of man’s societies. ‘For a long time,’ Durkheim writes early on in his book, ‘it has been known that the first systems of representations with which men have pictured to themselves the world and themselves were of religious origin.’ Durkheim decided to examine how and why this phenomenon functioned and evolved - by looking specifically at simple societies and their religions, rather than at religions in more complex or developed societies. By examining the religious belief systems, their stories and their structures from sociological and anthropological perspectives, he set out to explore the way religions emerged from the group and what they represented for the group. All judgments on the religious content were suspended. What were the practices, the ethics, what were the beliefs, and how did they reflect and interact with the society from which they sprang? This study, he hoped, would ‘lead to an understanding of the religious nature of man, that is to say, to show us an essential and permanent aspect of humanity’. He further wrote, ‘The most barbarous and the most fantastic rites and the strangest myths translate some human need, some aspect of life, either individual or social. The reasons with which the faithful justify them may be, and generally are, erroneous; but the true reasons do not cease to exist and it is the duty of science to discover them.’ Religion, he concludes, was a basic social institution. Durkheim shone his spotlight on practices among the Aborigines of Australia and other societies - including the Sioux, Samoan and Melanesian - with the intention of extrapolating his findings into the broader, modern world. David Émile Durkheim (1858-1917), played a leading role in establishing the discipline of sociology - becoming the first professor of sociology in France. His major works include The Division of Labour in Society (1893) and Suicide (1897), but The Elementary Forms of the Religious Life (1912) is still widely read today. Mike Rogers gives an engaged reading. PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Considered by many to be one of G.K. Chesterton’s greatest works, The Everlasting Man, along with many of Chesterton’s other works, were heavily influenced by his own spiritual journey into Christianity. Wells’ The Outline of History, in which Chesterton delves into the history of religion and the spiritual exploration of western society while defending any objections to Christianity. Chesterton also discusses the theory of evolution and attempts to clarify what we can possibly take from it. G.K. Chesterton was an English writer who was born on May 29th 1874, and is best known today for his novels Orthodoxy, Heretics, The Man Who Was Thursday, and Father Brown. "As March gave way to April in the spring of 2005 and the world kept vigil outside the apostolic palace in Rome, the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, then drawing to a poignant end, was already being described as one of the most consequential in two millennia of Christian history." With these words, world-renowned author and NBC Vatican analyst George Weigel begins his long-awaited sequel to the international best seller Witness to Hope: The Biography of Pope John Paul II. More than 10 years in the making, The End and the Beginning: Pope John Paul II - The Victory of Freedom, the Last Years, the Legacy tells the dramatic story of the Pope’s battle with communism in light of new and recently disclosed information and brings to a close Weigel’s landmark portrait of a man who not only left an indelible mark on the Catholic Church, but also changed the course of world history. When he was elected pope in the fall of 1978, few people had ever heard of the charismatic Karol Wojty³a. But in a very short time he would ignite a revolution of conscience in his native Poland that would ultimately lead to the collapse of European communism and death of the Soviet Union. What even fewer people knew was that the KGB, the Polish Secret Police, and the East German Stasi had been waging a dangerous, decades-long war against Wojty³a and the Vatican itself. Weigel, with unprecedented access to many Soviet-era documents, chronicles John Paul’s struggle against the dark forces of communism. Moreover, Weigel recounts the tumultuous last years of John Paul’s life as he dealt with a crippling illness as well as the “new world disorder” and revelations about corruption within the Catholic Church. Weigel’s thought-provoking biography of John Paul II concludes with a probing and passionate assessment of a man who lived his life as a witness to hope in service to the Christian ideals he embraced.
