Summary

Former CIA operative Damon Thorne is a fixer. He cleans up messes other people make of their lives to forget the wreckage his own has become. Whether it means retrieving a drug addict whose family is being blackmailed or rescuing a furball who’s the subject of a custody dispute, Damon just gets things done. When the job means kidnapping the wild son of a prominent senator in an election year, it should come with hazard pay. From the day Jude Chenoweth was born into wealth and position, his father has groomed him to follow in his footsteps. Jude has other plans. Openly gay and infamous, all he wants to do is live his life, create his art, and never settle down. Life has a way of kicking butts, even the sexy ones. Thrown together in a situation neither wanted, Damon and Jude must now decide how to move forward. Jude knows something is wrong when he gazes into Damon’s haunted brown eyes and Damon recognizes there’s much more to Jude than the caricature he shows the world. This might be the beginning of a journey...or an incredibly stupid mistake. Perhaps working together will help them process their own demons. Whatever happens, neither of them believes Damon’s assignments will always come with a heaping helping of bad guys. Not always...right?

Summary

“My family could accept me being gay, but not trans.”  James is in trouble. His family turned their back on him after he transitioned, and he was forced to start his new life without them, but now he's paying the price. Buried in debt, his last chance is to start a business with hunky carpenter Ryan and hope that they succeed. The one thing he can't afford is a distraction, but what if Ryan is the only one to see past it all and love him inside and out?  “Strictly-business is hard around you."  Ryan Hart doesn't rattle easy. From lazy contractors to being the last single friend, nothing bothers him until he meets James. Ryan's new business partner pushes him to follow his dreams, even though he faces problems Ryan's never considered. Ryan doesn't back down from a challenge or from threats to his business, James's hard-won privacy, and their future together. As business partners, of course. Nothing more.  “I can't believe they don't see you as the man I love.”  They both know mixing business with pleasure is a bad idea, but the pull between them is too hard to resist. Can Ryan have it all with the clever, caring, bossy guy who's won his heart?  Grind is a steamy gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Summary

Blair Anderson only thinks of Caden Bell as his best friend’s younger brother, a straitlaced jock still dating his high-school sweetheart. They are as different as night and day. Caden has always considered Blair an enigma, the way he lights up every room with his self-confidence and perfectly sculpted cheekbones. But since childhood they’ve drifted worlds apart. Life as an international model isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, so when Blair escapes to his best friend’s beach house for some R&R, he’s shocked to discover Caden had the same idea. Apparently, he called it quits with his girlfriend and was looking for a little alone time, too. Instead of rock, paper, scissors to determine who gets to stay, they decide to share the house and keep out of each other’s way. Easier said than done. As they reconnect, Blair is captivated by Caden’s bald honesty. And Caden realizes that Blair isn’t a mystery - he’s genuine and funny and still utterly gorgeous. Seeing Blair in a new light short-circuits Caden’s brain, and before he knows it, he’s confiding in Blair about his bi-curiosity. Blair couldn’t be more taken aback as advice turns to solace, then ignites into an intense spark neither man anticipated. Blair had done and seen it all, so what could it hurt to help Caden experience some new things? After all, it’s only a holiday hookup. Until it’s not. Please note: This book completely stands alone from Beautiful Dreamer, and they do not have to be heard in order.

Summary

Even the best Daddies can’t keep the storms of life away...but they’ll always try.  Morning News Anchor Neil Klein has loved being in love for nearly six months with the best kind of “Daddy” ever - his boyfriend and bodyguard, Brody Johnson. Sassy as ever, Neil keeps his man busy at work and even busier at home. And Brody wouldn’t have it any other way. Love has made both their lives complete. Seriously, things couldn’t be better. Except their idyllic life is about to face its first storm...literally. A tropical El Niño storm is headed toward San Diego, but they’re prepared. A surprise visit from Brody’s family is tense but doable. The real storm cloud ruining their week is that Neil’s stalker appears to be at it again. Brody will have to be prepared for anything to keep Neil safe and happy during the worst week ever. This is a 31,000-word novella, the second in the News Boy trilogy. Watch out for cranky old men, a little who’s really a middle, and a prudish dog who won’t let anyone have fun. You’ll probably catch yourself giggling out loud, but what else can you expect from a Susan Hawke book?

Summary

Protecting him was just to supposed to be another job. Until it wasn’t. Two years after surviving a brutal attack from members of his own unit, former Special Forces soldier Cruz de la Vega has found new purpose working for an underground vigilante group that offers justice when the law can’t. When he’s assigned to figure out who attacked a local gay rights activist, Cruz expects it to be just another job. But when it comes to protecting Elliot Wittier, he soon learns that the last thing he wants is for the intriguing young man to be just another job. At 25 years old, Elliot Wittier is well on his way to having the perfect life. As the head of a hugely successful investment firm and the founder of a prominent foundation, he should be on top of the world. But looks can be deceiving and Elliot knows how to play the game. With the fear of failing the two most important people in his life always at the forefront of his mind, Elliot keeps an iron-grip on the control that has served him so well in the past. But when a violent attack leaves him vulnerable, Elliot’s carefully constructed world starts to fracture. As he struggles to keep the threat under wraps, he’s thrown off guard when a gorgeous stranger takes an interest in him at a Halloween themed benefit. Throwing caution to the wind, Elliot decides to allow himself the freedom that being with the enigmatic Cruz de la Vega brings for just one night. But what happens when one night isn’t enough? Or when the past catches up with the present? Can what two men found in each other in just twenty-four hours really last a lifetime? Although it features several characters from my other books and is part of the “Protectors” world, Protecting Elliot is a stand-alone novella that can serve as a great way to get a feel for the Protectors/Barretti/Finding universe I’ve created. In regards to the timeline of events, Protecting Elliot occurs after Book 9 in my Protectors series, but it is not necessary to read/listen to any other books to enjoy this novella. I’ve specifically written this book to give new readers/listeners a chance to meet my guys and for loyal fans to check in with old favorites while still meeting a new couple.

Summary

"The right way is the one where we end up together...And to do that, we need to survive this". A brilliant, obsessive mind is the heart of Sebastian Seaver’s genius. It might also be the thing that costs him everything he’s created and everyone he’s ever loved. Consumed with the need to destroy Alexei Stornovich, the Russian mob boss who murdered his fiancée and parents, nothing can turn Bas from his plans of revenge until he’s eradicated every last one of them. By any means necessary, and at any cost. Drew McMann learned early that the key to success is control. Control carried him through law school and helped him keep Seaver Tech together through tragedy. It helped him survive the brutal murder of his sister Amy, his parents’ divorce, and the revelation that the seeds of their destruction had been planted by someone he had considered family. It’s how he’s hidden his love from his best friend Bas for more than half their lives. And now it’s how he’s going save Bas from himself and finally get his family of friends free from Alexei’s clutches. Drew has a plan for everything...Until the kiss. When Drew loses control one reckless, drunken evening and his true feelings for Bas are revealed, he tries desperately to contain the damage and keep their friendship on track, even as decades of lies and half-truths seek to tear them apart. With Alexei targeting them and their friends, Drew and Bas are forced to rely on each other more than ever. But as danger closes in on them, can they sacrifice their needs for logic and control, and recognize that the only right way to move forward is the one in which they’re together?

Summary

At nearly 40 years old, Cash Malloy has accepted that the lifestyle he and Sage, his partner both in life and on the job, live isn't normal but is what both men need to escape the darkness of their pasts. But he also knows that Sage's wounds run much deeper than his own and that there will come a day where what Cash can give Sage isn't enough anymore. And after meeting the young woman Sage has become enamored with, Cash knows that day is closer than ever. At 21, Daisy Washburne has found a new life working for an underground vigilante group. To the men she works with, she's Daisy, IT girl extraordinaire, but in the silence of her apartment, she’s just awkward, quiet, weird Daisy whose computer is her best friend and whose only link to the outside world are the voices of the men she's trying really hard not to think of as family. But it's one voice on the other end of the phone in particular that calls to her like no other and eases just a little bit of the loneliness that has consumed her since losing her mother to a brutal act of violence. In order to survive, Sage Brighton has had to learn how to be two different people. To most of the world, he’s happy-go-lucky, flirty, easy-going Sage. But to the one man who knows him better than anyone else, and yet still doesn’t really know who he is, Sage sees himself as nothing more than a fucked-up mess who takes more than he gives. Life without Cash isn't even a possibility for Sage, but he can't deny the pull young Daisy Washburne has had on him from the moment he hears her voice for the first time. Only in the deepest recesses of his mind does Sage allow for a world in which he can have both Cash and Daisy at the same time. Fortunately for Sage, the lines between fantasy and reality are miles apart - almost a thousand miles to be exact, since Daisy doesn't live anywhere near Cash and Sage's home in the Ozarks. But when a chance encounter between Daisy, Cash, and Sage in a motel just outside Seattle changes everything, the demons from Sage's past threaten to derail the life he and Cash have built together. When circumstances bring the trio back together, Cash sees an opportunity to give Sage what he needs, even if it costs Cash everything he's ever wanted. Only, he soon finds that Sage isn't the only one drawn to the quiet young woman who's good at being invisible. And he can't help but wonder if maybe the key to saving Sage isn't about Sage choosing who can give him a normal life. Because maybe normal isn't enough. Just like maybe one love isn’t enough...for any of them. Trigger Warning: This book does a possible trigger for some listeners . Specifics can be found by utilizing the "Look Inside" feature or downloading a sample and scrolling the page marked Trigger warnings. Please note that reading what triggers are included may cause spoilers. Please note that this is a MMF story AND is 45k words, hence the "novella" in the title! If shorter books are not to your liking, this book might not be for you! Although Discovering Daisy is part of the Protectors "world", it is not included in the official series, hence the lack of a series number. While you can listen to this book as a standalone, if you do want to listen to it in order with the Protectors series, it should be read after Book 5.5, A Protectors Family Christmas, as it takes place around the same time.   Also, this book contains some elements of domination/submission, but is not considered a BDSM book. The Protectors series crosses over with some of my other series, so for the most enjoyment, they should be listened to in order, but it is not required. You can find the correct listening order at the beginning of each book. I've also bundled all my series in the correct listening order under the title of A Family Chosen: The Protectors and Barrettis.

The last straw lands when the DA refuses to try a case Niall worked for years to bring to justice. All hell breaks loose in the community, and accusations fly...all coinciding with Niall Hamarsson’s return. Niall and Mat have a history, and it’s not one Mat’s proud of. However, Mat’s first priority is investigating the murder before his community tears itself apart and he may have to ask the aloof Niall Hamarsson for help. Davey’s rule number 83: Daddy will encourage his boy to be the best he can be and be supportive of his boy’s career choices. Marcus Alves has waited most of his adult life to find the perfect match. A sweetheart who will love cuddles, need a daddy to help him thrive, and most importantly, be the type of boy that might want to use the binky that Marcus keeps hidden in his pocket. Now in his forties, he’s refusing to give up on his dream or the unused playroom that’s waiting for someone to enjoy. Jeff Robustelli has had a rough life. Growing up in a commune with absent parents was hard for a rule-following, straitlaced guy with a genius IQ. When the uncle who saved him died, Jeff did what he does best - buried his head in the sand and pretended life wasn’t changing. Working in a daddy club has shown him what he really wants, but Jeff is too afraid to take a chance on something new. When Jeff has a sudden need for a fake fiancé, he strikes a deal with the older man who always seems to be there when his world is crumbling and makes him feel safe. In exchange, he agrees to a fake daddy/boy experiment designed to let him try out being little...without any pressure.  While Marcus and Jeff navigate their “deal” and the unexpected new feelings that begin to emerge, Marcus also must help the younger man through a series of life changes that put him on the road to being the adult he’s been too afraid to be.  When everything in Jeff’s life is in turmoil, Marcus is his one stability. But can Jeff trust his own heart when nothing else in his life is making sense anymore? This is the fifth book in a series about not-so-perfect daddies, adorable boys, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules. Summary

Jesse After spending the first part of my life trapped in a small town where it wasn’t okay to be a makeup-wearing boy who liked boys, I swore I’d leave and never be anything but loud, proud, and unapologetically me. I’ve kept that promise. I’m following my dreams, have an apartment with my bestie, and get to dance my nights away at one of the hottest gay bars in Portland. The only downfall is Dane, the sexy bartender with a perma-scowl always aimed my way. The tension between us is so strong that even the clubgoers notice, and they eat that stuff up. Our boss makes us dance on the bar together every Friday night. I might shake my booty a little more with Dane just because I love getting under his skin. It’s not my fault he doesn’t know how to have any fun, but I kind of want to teach him. Dane I got burned bad by my last boyfriend. Thankfully, my sister Bree and my niece Hailey make my days a whole lot brighter. I’m getting back on my feet, including a decent job as a bartender. But working in a gay club makes it harder to keep to myself. No way do I want to get reeled in by another charming, pretty face and get hurt again, and definitely not by someone like Jesse, whose audacity frustrates me to no end.  So, why do I want to shove him against the wall and screw that boldness right out of him?  Only, sometimes, he’s pretty sweet, especially with Hailey. As we go from enemies to angry hookups to friends, our feelings are changing and moving into uncharted territory. This can’t go anywhere. Jesse and I are like oil and water. We just don’t mix. Right?

Summary

Brody A night on the town after a long workweek at my family's distillery should include shots and dancing - not a hot kiss with a handsome stranger. I'm straight. At least, that's what I figured until I find myself locking lips with a sexy city boy. Now, all my circuits are going haywire, and the spark that ignites between us makes me even more curious. Unfortunately, I kissed the one man who's off-limits: Cohen Mitchell - the sole surviving heir to the Mitchell Creek distillery, a rival neighbor my family has feuded with for nearly a 100 years. Until he arrived in town, no one knew there were any Mitchells left. But the business-savvy city slicker has taken an interest in his legacy.  Nothing means more to me than my family, so whether I like it or not, I have to keep my hands off the sexy, green-eyed beauty who Big Daddy has not-so-affectionately dubbed that "No Good Mitchell". Problem is: My hands have other plans. Cohen I never expected to inherit a distillery from a father I had never known. That's how I find myself in a tiny Georgia town, where everyone knows a family history I've been kept in the dark about. The townsfolk all have a different story about my ancestors, with two things in common: illegal activity and Mitchell vs O'Ralley forever. Maybe, I shouldn't like Brody O'Ralley, but I didn't grow up with this stupid family feud. I enjoy touching him, kissing him and - oops - I'm falling for the man with sweet Southern charm and a big heart. Between the O'Ralley patriarch hating me, getting the Mitchell Creek distillery off the ground, and working through my own family issues, I know I should stay away from Brody. But I won't, and staying away is not what he wants either. I crave all the time with my country boy as I can get, even if it's breaking the rules. After all, I am a No Good Mitchell.
