My Mother Was a Bank Robber

Summary

When Martha’s heart suddenly stops, it gives her the chance to reflect on her life. Something is missing, and it’s more than just adrenaline. She hasn’t seen her son, Matt, in 20 years, and has no idea that his wife Emma has started talking about babies. Matt, though, is worried about his genetic inheritance: Can a penchant for bank robbery be passed through the generations? And can he seek advice from his work colleague Rip, whose entire life experience is based on video games? When Martha’s psychotherapist suggests role-play, Martha realises that despite her advancing years there’s only one solution to her torpor. She needs to rob another bank.
