Summary of Leaders Eat Last from Simon Sinek

Summary

Simon Sinek, in his book Leaders Eat Last calls for a style of leadership which puts plenty of emphasis on serving people rather than focusing on individual goals or shareholder interests. Leadership styles in this day and age focus on making money and bonuses instead of making sure the workforce has a good working environment. Engagement and job satisfaction are increased by leaders who see their employers as their family. Doing so increases levels of productivity and reduces stress because the workforce feels some sense of security. Take the US Marine Corps for example; their leaders comes to the table last and the low ranking soldiers eat first to make everyone feel important and loved. This is a summary and analysis of the book and not the original book.
