The North Star

Summary

Jessie Murphy is released from prison with the intention of escaping her past. Homeless and alone, her plans to dodge karma’s spite seem like nothing more than wishful thoughts until a shot of Wild Turkey turns things around. She ends up lost in the wilderness of passion that is Bard. A drunk and a hermit, he is no stranger to wandering souls, and Jessie tries desperately not to get drawn into his mystery and allure. But her dark past backs her into a corner, leaving her with nobody else to trust. She fights to keep herself safe, hiding from and confronting old shadows, but with Bard by her side, the danger seems much closer. Who is she really protecting herself from?
