Summary
Another great Amish romance short story. May contain few Amish words and phrases Mid December, an unusual weather pattern sweeps across the valley, leaving a good three feet of snow covering the whole area. Linda Zook was a woman of habit, though. Despite her late husband's frustrations at her desire for more than housework and children, she would go each evening, out for a walk along the community fence line and down over to the lakeside to take some air and have some “thinking time”. Linda was made even more determined by her memories of her departed husband, and set out to wade through the crisp white blanket of freshly fallen snow. Within no time, her dress was freezing cold and soaked through despite her best efforts to hold the hem line out of the slush. She found the silence eerie yet beautiful, and for miles all around her all she could see was a gown of white covering God's earth. As she neared the main road, only determinable by the fence that lined the roadside, she saw what she thought was a rock sticking out form the snow. It was right by the entrance and track that leads from the road up into the main residential part of the community. When she finds a semi-conscious and barely alive man laying on his side in a snow drift, her life is turned upside down. She nurses the man back to health but the elders are angry and wanting the stranger gone from their community. Linda and the man become fond of each other and as things get tense in the village, a strange twist of fate will bring the stranger into the heart of Amish events, and this could lead to him leaving the village forever, or staying as a hero in their midst and starting a new life with Linda. A huge decision needs to be made, and only the old Bishop can make it....

Summary
It is the eve of Christmas, and a thick frost covers the Amish fields. The elders had been predicting a cold snap for many weeks now, but nobody could have expected what was to happen next. In the town, the Englischers had their machines to clear roads, but the community just had shovels and each other. After prayers, the community left the prayer house to make their way home just as the snow began to fall. They all looked skyward, for the sky was a dull grey, laden with snow, and the flakes of snow seemed so large that the children ran around trying to catch them. As John, an Amish man, walked back to his house, he saw two townsfolk, frozen cold, stumbling toward him. The drivers of the snow plow got caught in a drift and couldn’t make it home. John knew that if that were to happen, his community could sell their produce, and that could have dire consequences for the village. What happens next is a set of events that cause communities to collide in way that could mean life or death for many. A Forbidden Amish Love
Summary
Contains a few Amish words and phrases Mary and Ruth are the best of friends. Ruth leaves the village to work for a year at her relatives' farm in the community on the other side of town and so leaves her friend for a year. Whilst away, Ruth falls in love with a young man at the village, but is unsure if he feels the same way. Mary misses her friend very much and becomes lonesome after her mother dies in a farming accident. Mary has a chance encounter in town with an Amish boy from another community, and she falls hopelessly in love with him. It “appears” he has similar feelings but is not sure. When Ruth returns to the village, the friends share stories of love, both unsure if they are talking about the same man. Friendship is strained when it become evident that the man is the same one. What will they do?
