The Names of God in Holy Scripture (1888) examines the Old and New Testaments to find and interpret the names of the Lord. Jukes first discusses the Hebrew names and appellations as they were known by the patriarchs and by the prophets of ancient Israel: “Adonai”, “Elohim”, “El Shaddai”, and the Tetragrammaton.
