Summary

One of the neighborhood gang members – Michelle – her father was killed in Afghanistan while on duty in the service. Her mother and she are struggling.  The gang decide they are going to have a lemonade stand and book sale to raise money to help them out. They go and make the lemonade and signs as well as pulling books from their homes. They create the lemonade stand and book sale. The neighborhood all come and support it by buying the books and lemonade. The neighborhood gang present the money raised to Michelle’s mother and her.

They surprise her going over to her house with everything in tow for a surprise party.

Summary

The Neighborhood Gang is home for the summer hanging at Cindy’s house. They are talking and discussing that they noticed Mrs. Kingsley was having trouble walking up the stairs and doing chores. They decide they were going to offer to help her out.  Mrs. Kingsley lives next to Cindy’s house where the Neighborhood Gang hangs out because she has a pool. Mrs. Kingley pulls into her driveway and gets out with her grocery bags and they all come running over saying, “Mrs. Kingsley.... Mrs. Kingsley.... We want to help you!” They help her with her groceries and continue to go over each day to help with chores. On the final day, Mrs. Kingsley surprises them with a hot fudge sundae party for all their hard work.
