A meeting of the minds is held at Derrick's place, with Lester, Lincoln, Luther, and Jenny in attendance. Most folks around town thought Lester Talbot was just a lonely, bitter old man who drank too much and talked to ghosts. But he was much more than that, much more. He had a power, a gift, to not only help others in need as if by magic, but to see into the past and future as well.

The Hoosier state has had more than its share of good ghost stories over the years. But ghostly hauntings aren't the only creepy and strange happenings that have made campfire tales all the more interesting and spine-tingling. Always having been a big fan of The X-Files TV series, I would tune in each and every week to see what ghostly, ghastly, and totally bizarre and unexplainable phenomena agents Mulder and Scully would find themselves stuck in, in the middle of each new episode.
Indiana has had it's share of unexplained phenomena, too.... For example, we have the strange case of the rectangular-shaped UFOs spotted hovering above Daviess County, Indiana, in 1989, emitting a bright, orange glow that was almost blinding, as experienced by the eye witnesses, and began a sort of “sky dance", zigzagging back and forth at lightning speed, before seeming to vanish into thin air, never to be seen again.
Heck, we have even had reports of witch covens, werewolves, and Bigfoot in Indiana. And let's not forget the giant snakes, leprechauns, and wild dog-men. But enough of this, for now. I don't want to give away all of these good stories just yet, now, do I?
Feel free to listen to Strange Happenings in the Hoosier Heartland. If you dare...

Luther Biggs was born in Pearl City, Indiana, a small, run-down community of ramshackle houses and derelict trailers nestled in between the town levee and the Wabash River basin. His mother, Lula, a known alcoholic and brawler, had once sold Luther in exchange for a carton of cigarettes and a half gallon of whiskey. The woman who'd purchased Luther had brought him back within two days, claiming he wasn't even smart enough to pull a plow or bait a fish hook, and demanded her payment back. What nobody knew was Luther Biggs was smarter than people gave him credit for. He had special talents. Like being able to communicate with the dead.
