Summary

A shapeshifter who possesses magic shouldn't exist, and some people want to keep it that way.  My life will never be simple again. As a werewolf who is a host to a powerful spirit shade, I possess the ability to manipulate magic, among other things - and that means I have many enemies. In need of allies, I join the Midwest Pack.  Being part of the pack is supposed to make things better. It doesn't. After performing a powerful spell to protect Ethan, I'm punished and cursed by the Creed, the ruling body of the witches, who will do anything to get rid of me.  While seeking a way to lift my curse, the pack find themselves tasked with guarding a book of magic that everyone wants, including the Creed. In the wrong hands, it can destroy the otherworld and ignite a battle that no one can win.  Pulled into the Midwest Pack's clandestine world of strange politics, dark secrets, and hidden dangers makes me wonder if joining the pack was a bad decision. I'm enticed when a powerful and mysterious witch claims he can make it all stop: break the curse, stop the rivalries, even undo my lycanthropy. But the witch's help comes at a price - the betrayal of my pack. Which will I choose?

Summary

Just survive. That's been my goal since uncovering a dangerous secret: I died at birth and became host to a very powerful spirit shade. Now I have the rare ability to manipulate magic - an ability some would kill for.  Needing to lie low, I declined membership in the Midwest Pack, the most powerful pack in the country, under the foolish impression that I could just return to my normal life. I was wrong. After a number of attacks on the pack and the vampires, where I risk my life to protect the members, it becomes apparent that the Midwest Pack and their rivals, the Northern Seethe, are under siege.  I'm linked to the attackers and the pack wants my help in finding those responsible. Reluctantly I'm drawn back into the pack's world and their golden rule: Protect the pack at all costs.  To find the person responsible, I must work with the Seethe's hunter, Chris. She should be a welcome asset with her connections and extensive knowledge of the otherworld, but her turbulent history with the Seethe and Midwest Pack only causes more conflict between the enemies-turned-allies.  Once again, I must navigate the lies, secrets, and strange politics that govern the otherworld while struggling not to draw attention to my abilities. Will I be able to find the culprits - and get out alive?

Summary

Sometimes the penalty for magic is death. The Midwest Pack used the Clostra to perform a powerful and dangerous spell to save me. Now the pack is dealing with the aftermath and doing damage control. But they can't hide how the magic has changed the dynamics of the otherworld - or that they are responsible.  Ethan has dangerous secrets and so do I. The worst one: I developed new and disturbing powers reminiscent of a deadly being that once ruled and terrorized the otherworld. What Ethan and I are has been exposed. The penalty for it is a death sentence.  The Creed wants to enforce the punishment. The Midwest Pack's priority has always been to protect the pack. Protecting becomes complicated when a new pack emerges, aided by a powerful new ally, and tries to take over the Midwest Pack's territory by force. In order to survive, the pack must call in all favors and form uneasy alliances. But will that be enough?
