Now Fortress Britain is the last bastion of the living - with 50 million beleaguered survivors facing down a world of seven billion animated corpses. And one international team of elite special operators - supremely trained and armed, always the most skilled, resolved, and unstoppable amongst us - are humanity's last best hope for survival.... Book Two - Mogadishu of the Dead: Alpha team is tasked with one last desperate operation: They must cross the Atlantic aboard the world's only remaining supercarrier and insert by air into the very middle of a dead continent, all in search of a rumored vaccine that might bring humanity back from the brink. But their op goes dangerously wrong from the start, with the team scattered to hell and back, and their target site a dry hole. Now they must fight their way on foot through a city of three million ravening dead guys, in search of an underground bunker that might hold the Last Man on Earth. Diary of the Displaced is a genre-breaking saga that is part mystery, part scifi, part horror and part fantasy. Set in a universe where creatures from the depths of Lovecraftian horror come up against blaster and shotgun-wielding nomadic wanderers, it's not like anything you've ever heard before. There is a place where nightmares are real. A dark and terrifying place that is hidden from the world we know, by borders that only the most unfortunate of souls will ever cross. James Halldon wakes up in a strange and dark place, surrounded by endless junk and debris. He has no idea where he is, or how he got there. No food. No water. No light. Almost no memories of his past. And there are things moving in the darkness around him. Things that growl. And daytime never seems to come....

There is an old man sitting in a bed in angel ward, telling stories. He says he has to tell someone, because he is dying. He says he doesn't care if you believe that the tales are true or not, because he is not sure that half of them ever happened at all. Reg Weldon claims that he has seen things that would make your skin crawl. He claims a lot of things.... "I was born four seconds before the strike of midnight on the 31st of December, 1900. As far as I know, that makes me the last person to be born in that century. My mother, God bless her soul, she may well have been the first person to die in the century that followed, because no sooner had I taken my first breath then she took her last."
