Footsteps in the Poison Ivy Patch is mostly a collection of political and satirical commentary, with a few gallant attempts at genteel observations. The highlight, though, is a picturesque critique on the United States, taking, past, present, and current issues and exposing the deceit and follies that have repeated themselves, starting from the founding of the United States to the current day. This collection of haiku represents the author's tangible loss and emotional regret at the deprivation of the liberty protected in the experiment of the constitution.
