Summary

Skylar Orion's life has been complicated ever since his mother abandoned him and his sister Evie. Making ends meet seemed impossible until Tate Chandler took them in - his knight in shining armor who promised to make life about more than just surviving. But Tate is not the man he seemed to be, and even his whispered I love yous and generous gifts do little to soothe the pain he causes. Knowing he can't give his sister all that she deserves without Tate, Skylar stays with him, relying on bad puns and a worse sense of humor to keep up the charade. He will do anything for his sister, even if that means acting the responsible adult and going back to his old high school to meet Dexter Weston, the hot math teacher who can make even algebra interesting. Sparks fly between the two of them, but with his dependence on Tate, Skylar isn't free to follow his heart. He wants what is best for Evie, but can he pass up the chance to find love that heals instead of harms?

Summary

For years, Rex Mirza has been controlling every aspect of his twin brother’s life. Using the fact that Tavi is a magicless witch - a mere human - in a family of powerful witches, he has justified every harsh treatment. All of it is only for Tavi’s own good, of course. How could a human possibly know what was best for him? When Tavi gets the chance to turn the tables on his brother, will he take it? Or will he take the punishment Rex says is due for trying to run away? This is a dark taboo tale that contains several kinks that may offend or trigger some listeners, including (but not limited to) age play, ABDL, and humiliation. Not every dynamic or element is 100 percent consensual.

Summary

There are certain truths evident in the new state of the world: Humans are less than nothing, supernatural beings reign supreme...and Elias Ivers always gets what he wants.  When he finds out his prized human slave has been snatched away from him by Khaz, a low-class whore, and made a vampire, he doesn't care what he has to destroy to claim Noah as his own. If that includes the budding feelings between Khaz and Noah, so be it. The fight for the fledgling is fierce and hot, but in this game of sex, pain, and intrigue, can anyone other than Elias truly be a winner? Now that supernatural beings have seized control of the world, life has become a struggle for the humans who once held power. Witches, vampires, and werewolves determine the fate of every single human, but their moral compasses have long since been shattered.  Rebels, free humans, and slaves all share dreams of hope, mercy, love, and more. But with their fate so uncertain, survival isn't enough...and they may have to sacrifice what is nearest and dearest to them if they want to change their lives. Bought, Ravel, and Recoil feature different characters whose lives begin to come together in Owned and Temper. This dystopian series explores different aspects of the world, from utter darkness to the shining lights waiting to emerge. Because of this, the books range from dark erotica to romance to horror to action(ish) to bits of other things in between.

Summary

Over the past decade, Khaz has watched as supernatural creatures like himself have turned the world into their own personal playground. Unlike the others, he didn't benefit from the Takeover, and every time he sells himself to keep a roof over his head, he's keenly aware of that fact. His landlord, a renowned slaver, offers him the chance to catch up on his rent by breaking a human. Groomed to fight, Noah has survived by giving himself over to his hatred of those who took everything away from humanity. When the werewolf can't break him, he's given to the vampire instead - and he's sure this will be no different. The problem is that even the harsh lessons the Rebellion taught him couldn't prepare him for someone like Khaz...who always has an ace up his sleeve. Now that supernatural beings have seized control of the world, life has become a struggle for the humans who once held power. Witches, vampires, and werewolves determine the fate of every single human, but their moral compasses have long since been shattered. Summary

For years, Reese has hidden away in his home, refusing to venture out where he might have to face what reminds him of all that he's lost. When Ashton, a human thief, breaks into his home one night, he doesn't have a choice but to face the harsh truths of the world he's turned his back on. He knows he supports the society monsters of myth and lore built upon the backs of humans through his silence, but the new leaders don't tolerate sympathizers.  If a werewolf can't act against the status quo without facing severe consequences, a human with Ashton's cunning and experience circumventing supernatural predators certainly can't risk drawing their attention. Their chance encounter leaves them both shaken and questioning whether they are living life as they were intended...or if surviving is really living at all.  Now that supernatural beings have seized control of the world, life has become a struggle for the humans who once held power. Witches, vampires, and werewolves determine the fate of every single human, but their moral compasses have long since been shattered. Summary

TEMPER (Book 5) Only one thing can keep Ashton safe from the supernatural predators who made the world into their depraved, twisted playground after the Takeover - but it's the one thing that would steal the last remnants of his freedom. At every turn, society confronts Reese and Ashton with the way humans are treated as mere playthings to be used and discarded. When they realize their own desires and pride have no place in the status quo, Ashton and his werewolf lover understand they'll have to engage in the deadly games played by those in charge if they want to make a difference.  But Reese isn't a diplomat, and Ash is only human. Together, they must decide if they're willing to work with the devil they know in what might change everything or rely on their consciences in a world that has no place for kindness or honor... and if they're ready to sacrifice everything along the way.  REFRACTION (Book 6) Noah is still struggling to come to terms with his unwanted new life as one of the undead, and Khaz's attempts to reach his childe seem doomed to fail. Reese risked it all to save his human lover, Ashton, but he finds that his claim of pack leader might not keep him from losing everything. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and together, Reese and Noah set off on a mission to find Noah's old rebel group to help them turn the tables against the status quo that threatens them all.  SANGUINE (Book 7) In the epic conclusion of the Fate of the Fallen series, the stage has been set for a revolution. After the Council’s lack of reaction to the assassination of one of their own, the rebels grow bolder - and if they truly allow supes to join their ranks, they might be able to achieve the impossible. Hope has been rekindled, and nowhere has it been stronger than with the son of the former rebellion leader, Noah Franklin. Will he and Khaz throw in for more than a night, or will they choose to isolate themselves from what might still be a futile cause? Reese’s allegiance to Elias Ivers has compromised his own desires to aid the rebellion, along with his disapproval of their “take no prisoners” approach. He and his claimed humans, Ashton and Leo, have different agendas, but can they come together in a time of need? Newly-ascended Elder Elias Ivers has a target on his back - and it’s not only from sympathizers and rebels. Even those amongst his own ranks are loath to accept him, and he finds that taking control is not as easy as he’d thought. With his werewolf pet, Jace, at his side, can he show the Council what it truly is to rule? Humans have fought for a decade to regain their freedom, and now, the time has come to reclaim it. The restlessness and strife among the vampires, witches, and werewolves who rule over humanity leaves them a unique opening...if they can only figure out how to take advantage of it. Sanguine is not a standalone. It also contains significant spoilers for the Need Trilogy. For the most part, I’ve done my best to avoid spoilers across the Fate of the Fallen world, but the Need Trilogy goes hand-in-hand with the series's story.

Summary

In a dark world where humans are little more than fodder for vampires, Caleb is looking for a break...even if that break means he has to become Liam's plaything. When he gives up his freedom, Caleb's training begins. Will obedience and pleasure go hand in hand in his new life as Liam's puppy?  This peek into the Fate of the Fallen/Status Quo world is a stand-alone out of the time line of both series. This book contains puppy play. I consider it "playful dark erotica".

Summary

Zain was just a dog walker. It was an unconventional job for a werewolf, even a brand new one, but he liked dogs and they liked him. It only seemed to make sense... right up until the point a vampire called him in to take care of his human pup. When his life collided with Liam and Caleb's, none of them were prepared for the directions it could take. Especially Zain. But between the sexy pup and the vampire's creativity, the power struggles pitting dominance against submission - and acceptance - the two might be too intriguing to just walk away from.

Summary

"All I want is a puppy for my baby boy. That's all. Just a good puppy for my boy. The better you behave, the happier you'll be." When Cammy's Daddy asked him if he wanted a puppy, he expected the fluffy, four-legged kind. Instead, he finds that his Daddy meant something else entirely, and he isn't sure what to think of the new addition to the household. Zay's life might not have been perfect, but it was still better than being kidnapped and sold. Summary

One fledgling vampire. One nearly powerless witch. Two underdogs in society. Will a chance encounter between two should-be enemies lead to anything but violence?  Until three weeks ago, Dorian was a human - one of those subjugated by the supernatural beings who now rule the world. He spent 10 years struggling to survive, but now that he's been turned, he needs to learn how to live. Problem is, there's a lot to learn but not much time to learn it in. Loneliness is far from the only problem, but it seems to be the most pressing. Supernatural or not, Emery doesn't have a fancy family name to back up his standing in society. The most memorable thing about him is his red hair, not his magic, and he's had to throw in with those whose price for protection isn't low. Even though he'd never admit he's lonely, he's fascinated enough by his run-in with a brand-new vampire to not dismiss him despite the tensions between their races. Can they cure their loneliness with one another, or will society prevent them from doing anything but wonder what might have been? Asymmetry, Spoiled* and Anticipation*, the Need Trilogy, the Tamed & Trained Trilogy**, the Fate of the Fallen series, and Gifts can all be read separately from each other. Though they are all set in the same universe and there is occasional crossover, the timeline is ambiguous, and there are minimal spoilers across the books.

Summary

With a human-pup slave and a werewolf pet, Liam is perfectly content with where his life is - right up until the point where everything shattered. In his haste to satisfy his sire, he makes a choice that fractures the untraditional family he’d created, and he’s left to pick up the pieces in the aftermath. But Zain isn’t a mindless pet, and Caleb isn’t as much a pup as he might seem...and all three of them definitely have opinions on what the future looks like...and who’s in it. Will a fight for their pup’s affection further damage their relationship, or will it bring them back together? This is the final book in the Tamed & Trained trilogy, and it cannot be listened to as a standalone. Summary

“He could have everything here, and the price is so small. Why would he want to go back out into that cold, unforgiving world?” It’s simple, really. Zay has a roof over his head, food in his stomach, no bills or jobs to worry about, and he gets to lie around all day. It should be the perfect life for him, and it would be...if it wasn’t for the fact that he has to play the role of a two-legged “puppy” for his captor and his captor’s little. Zay’s unwillingness to accept his new life breeds doubt and discontent in Cammy, who’s longed for an end to his loneliness. Even though they should be bonding, the distance between them seems larger than ever. Cammy wants Zay to see how fortunate he is, but will it be Cammy who has his own revelations instead?
