Murder in Manhattan

Summary

Beginning in 1982, The Adam's Round Table, a group of America's most talented and successful mystery writers, convened every month in New York to discuss their craft. When author/agent Bill Adler suggested they each write a short story located in a different section of Manhattan, their enthusiastic response was Murder in Manhattan, a collection of short stories featuring a suspenseful cast of characters and plots set in the world's greatest city. Stories in this collection include: "Lucky Day" by Mary Higgins Clark, performed by Betsy Palmer. A young bride suspects her husband's complicity in a mysterious disappearance. "Vaudeville" by Whitley Strieber, performed by Roddy McDowell. An aging vaudeville comedienne dies, but not laughing. "Till Death Do Us Part" by Dorothy Salisbury Davis, performed by Juliet Mills. A high-powered literary agent's sword is mightier than her pen. "Directed Verdict" by Thomas Chastain, performed by Peter Graves. A veteran homicide cop unravels a complicated web of deception.
