Fruits and vegetables, in particular when they are out of season, could be costly. And of course, if you want to go organically, they can be even more costly. You can always grow your garden, but you may not have plenty of room outdoors, or you may live in a colder climate. Do not allow the environment or space to stop you from eating your fresh fruit, herbs, and vegetables. Gardening is more than just food growing. It's an activity most people enjoy. Sadly, not everyone lives where an outdoor garden can be planted. Alternatively, an indoor aquaponic system is created. The author of this book explains what Hydroponics is in this book, shows you different techniques of Hydroponics, and takes you home throughout every step of building a hydroponic garden. In this book, Hydroponics, you will learn the following: What Hydroponics mean? The basic principles of Hydroponics Hydroponic system components Types of Hydroponic Gardening Lighting and heat DIY Tips on Setting up Your Own Hydroponic System at Home Nutrient solution and plant growth medium Future of Hydroponic Garden And many more!

Is your outdoor space limited, and have you dreamed of growing your own fresh vegetables and herbs, but never thought you could? Would you like to learn the easy way to build your own raised gardens, no matter how small your yard or patio is? Then keep listening. Raised beds are one of my favorite ways to garden for a wide variety of reasons, which you will learn as you listen to this audiobook. For many people, raised beds are used to make their gardening more organized, neater, and easier to manage. If you have any mobility issues, it can reduce the impact on your back and the need to bend, meaning you can continue to enjoy gardening even if you cannot dig for hours and kneel on the floor tending your plants. Setting up raised beds properly requires absolutely no digging, which makes them ideal for efficient gardening with minimal maintenance work. They are also suitable for individuals with a disability which makes digging difficult or painful. Anyone who works and tries to keep on top of their garden will be happy for information and tips that reduce the amount of gardening work. I found that when I was working and looking after young children, raised beds made the difference between having a vegetable plot and not being able to manage one. In traditional soil planting your plants lean over on to the paths, which quickly become covered. You then end up having to pick your way carefully between your plants and will usually end up trampling some of your plants. If you have children visit your vegetable garden, then you will know just how hard it is to get them to stick to unclear paths. I have lost many a row of seedlings to enthusiastic children wanting to help but not realizing where the paths are. In a raised bed garden, the paths are clearly defined, so there is no accidental squashing of seedlings! It also means that if the weather is bad, you do not need to walk on muddy paths as you can easily create paved or barked paths.

Do you want to learn how to build your organic garden? Then, keep reading... Everyone wants the food we serve to our families, as well as our environment, to be safe and healthy. A good organic gardener strives to ensure that his or her activities are in harmony with the natural ecosystem and aims at minimizing exploitation and replenishing all the resources consumed by his or her garden. Once you have made the decision to grow your own veggies and fruit, rather than buying what is available on the shelves, you are in control of what you put into your body. And although the debate is still open with regard to the benefits of antioxidants, why not give it the benefit of the doubt and go for the potentially healthier option. This audiobook covers the following topics: Organic gardening versus the traditional gardening The dangers of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and their effects on your wealth The importance of a healthy soil Steps to control your soil’s health The weeds and how to keep them under control The pests: how to fight them with natural remedies Organic tips and mistakes Ideas for gardening in small spaces And much more! Marine algae are the supreme eco-engineers of life: they oxygenate the waters, create habitat for countless other organisms, and form the base of a food chain that keeps our planet unique in the universe as we know it. In this audiobook Josie Iselin explores both the artistic and the biological presence of 16 seaweeds and kelps that live in the thin region where the Pacific Ocean converges with the North American continent - a place of incomparable richness. December of 2018 marked a largely unprecedented victory for cannabis. The 2018 Farm Bill passed, and, with it, hemp became legal. What the federal government listed for decades as a schedule 1 narcotic was finally classified as an agricultural crop, giving great promise to the rise of a new American hemp industry. Filled with catchall research, American Hemp examines what this new domestic crop can be used for, what makes it a superior product, and what made it illegal in the first place; the book also delves into the many health and medical benefits of the plant. Hobbs weighs in on how hemp can improve existing industries, from farming to energy to 3D printing, plus how it can make a serious impact on climate change by removing toxins from the soil and by decreasing our dependence on plastics and fossil fuels. American Hemp lays out where we are as a nation on expanding this entirely new (yet ancient) domestic industry while optimistically reasoning that by sowing hemp, we can grow a better future and save the planet in the process.
