Summary

This is the story of how a private dectective "John Black" tracks down a sadistic psychiatric therapist turned serial killer. Set in New York City in 1946, it grapples with the mental illness we call depression. The main protagonist encounters many twists and turns as he delves into the tortured life of his new mystery girlfriend - who turns his life upside down.
