Summary

Brad and Camille, happily married and successful stockbrokers, fell in love with Cardon house, a beautiful Victorian mansion, the moment they saw it. They dream of restoring the mansion to its glory days. Horrifying apparitions appear, noises not of this world constantly surround them, and Brad and Camille feel a presence pushing them apart.   While both fear they are losing their minds, and each other, an evil presence takes matters into its own hands, going after Camille with a force so evil, it almost costs her her life after Camille discovers the terrifying secrets of the house's past.   Can they escape the deadly house before it takes them both down or will evil override and cost both Brad and Camille the great life they had built up for themselves?

Summary

Whale Hunt in the Desert divulges the unbridled lengths to which casinos go to bag the world's biggest gamblers - the whales. This definitive exposé reveals the shrouded world of ultra-high rollers and the Faustian pacts they forge with their hosts, the casino representatives whose job it is to part them from their fortunes. Private jets, penthouses, personal chefs, show-up money, rebates on losses, and the most beautiful women on Earth - nothing is too excessive.  This is the only book ever to examine the lifestyles and motivations of this rarest of breeds, as well as the highly guarded inner workings of the most money-oriented culture known to man. This third edition includes a foreword by Anthony Curtis and an extensive update about Las Vegas, the "greening" of gambling, the nightclub and dayclub scenes, the evolving host position, and much more - all in the words of the superhost, Steve Cyr.

Blood and Bricks

Summary

July 1, 1863. Confederate troops smash through the Union lines outside the small town of Gettysburg, setting the stage for two more days of bloody and unrelenting battle. Seeing his northern lines shatter under the onslaught, Union General Oliver Otis Howard knows the Rebels must be stopped or at the very least slowed down...but in order for that to happen, sacrifices will have to be made.  A lone brigade is dispatched on an impossible mission: to stem the gray tide, no matter what the cost in Union blood. What follows will come to be known as the battle of Kuhn's Brickyard. Outnumbered three to one, the men in blue will make a desperate last stand in the face of insurmountable odds, and one man will go down in the annals of American history for his final, tragic act.
