Au micro de Lauren Bastide, Emma raconte son enfance près de Troyes, le métier d'ingénieure informatique, son besoin profond de changer le monde, la maternité comme catalyseur d'injustices, le lien entre travail et féminisme, son militantisme contre les violences policières, le travail émotionnel, la charge mentale, les réseaux sociaux qui précarisent le militantisme, et le droit à la colère. Emma est une activiste, autrice et dessinatrice née en 1981 à Troyes. Elle vient de publier La charge émotionnelle, troisième tome de sa série de bandes dessinées intitulée Un autre regard, aux éditions Massot. Elle y aborde notamment les thèmes du consentement, des violences policières et de la charge émotionnelle. Après un BTS Informatique, Emma intègre une école d'ingénieurs. Une fois diplômée et intégrée dans la vie active, sa première grossesse lui fait prendre la mesure du sexisme systémique. Elle crée alors un blog sur lequel elle publie des planches au dessin très simple abordant des sujets qui la révoltent. En mai 2017, Emma rassemble ses dessins dans une première bande dessinée. La veille de sa sortie, elle publie une planche intitulée "Fallait demander" sur le thème de la charge mentale. En quelques heures, sa communauté passe de 40.000 à 250.000 abonnés. Le deuxième tome suivra quelques mois plus tard, en novembre 2017. Elle est aujourd'hui suivie par une vaste communauté, qu'elle contribue à conscientiser par son trait efficace et didactique.
