Reggie vs. Kaiju Storm Chimera Wolf! It's kind of a love story…with giant monsters! Fans of Godzilla, Pacific Rim, and classic giant monster movies will enjoy this short story set in my story world, Daikaiju Universe, where, on a planet Earth much like our own, horrific, ridiculously large, ambulatory forces of nature have been a periodic fact of life since the 19th century! It takes a kaiju storm - a giant monster attack - to bring Reggie Samson back to his old hometown…and the girl he left but never let go of. What connects all three? Reggie needs to find out before kaiju storm Chimera Wolf destroys everything!

Cloak! A world-weary, beaten-down everyman… A mysterious, street-wise old man… The shadows that hide beneath the shadows - and the secrets we keep for generations - all come together in the debut story in the occult-flavored Protector story world! When his girlfriend dumps him for a snide would-be magician, Harry's life begins to take a very strange turn. As the mysteries about his family and his own stunted emotional growth begin to mount, Harry has to do something to shrug off the cloak he's been living under. The fate of his ex-girlfriend - and maybe a lot more - hangs on his decision.

The first short story collection from Matthew Wayne Selznick focuses on revelations of clarity and epiphanies of character in the face of emotional challenges. Also included are brief essays exploring the formative experiences and memories that inspired each short story, making this collection Matthew Wayne Selznick's most personal creative work to date. The Stories: The collection opens with "You Got Me", wherein the way two people each deal with one particularly rough day might have a lot to do with how they spend their days to come. Next, a musician struggles with expectations and understanding when he travels far from home with his new band for "Gig Number Two". In the third story, he says it's "Not My Fault", but his girlfriend is convinced his distractions will drive them apart. Then comes the most unexpected distraction of all.... The final story, "The Days of Wine and Roses by The Dream Syndicate", provides a mental soundtrack for a reluctant walk through memory and pain on the way to save a troubled damsel in distress one last time. Each of the Four Stories explore universal themes of responsibility, relationships, honesty, and how we define character.

The Sexton and the Reaper is a novelette labeled as Paranormal Romance but it is not scary and it is not erotic by any stretch of the imagination. It's really a good old fashion love story with Ghosts, Soul Collectors, Angels, Jewish & Christian Mysticism, and of course fantasy.
