Animal Experience

Summary

The Animal Experience was inspired by the "Animal Cards" that were originally created for the Animal Insights book, which features a unique way to get insights about yourself and what you can gain from the qualities of that animal. The two types of animals used for the experience are mammals and birds. In the experience, you go on a journey in which you think about your associations with that animal and how to apply them to yourself. Also, you can look on that animal as a guide to take you on a journey, usually to the underworld, though you can travel anywhere. There you ask that animal a question, and the animal gives you answers or leads you to a source of knowledge with answers for you. You can take this journey by yourself or do this in a group, where one person leads the journey for others and facilitates a discussion after the experience. Then, someone else can lead a journey with another animal. Ideally, a group will be about three to 15 participants, although the experience can be done with a larger group.

Animal Insights

Summary

Animal Insights provides a system where you can focus on two different animals each week for a year in order to consider how to incorporate the insights from these animals into your life. It is a follow-up guide to The Best Words from A-Z, where you gain some insights from your two positive words for that week. You can use the two books together. However, unlike thinking about the words from A-Z, you will cut and mix up the "Animal Cards", which are printed four to a page. Remove the cards for the animals you have the least affinity for, so you end up with 104 cards. Mix up the cards, and draw two each week. Once you select your two "Animal Cards" for the week, think about them in various ways. You can focus on both animals, and imagine how they might work together. You might think about one animal in the morning and one at night. Or think of one animal for three days, the other for the next three days, and both on the seventh day. Or on this last day, reflect on your insights from thinking about these animals for the past week. The animals selected for Animal Insights come from a list of common animals that are well-known - from crustaceans, insects, and fish to reptiles, birds, and mammals. If the animal has many species, such as a dog or cat, there is a photo with several breeds, and you can think any species or breed you choose. One reason that thinking about these different animals can be so powerful is that each one has developed certain qualities that make it successful. Likewise, you can draw on these qualities for success in your life, and some of these qualities may suggest changes you can make for more success. These will ultimately be three separate books with 10 or more additional chapters in each book. Each chapter features a complete episode as in a TV series, featuring a group of Neanderthals, and each book builds on the previous book in the series. In the first book: The Neanderthals Are Back, a paleontologist working in Germany brings back some Neanderthal DNA and works with a scientist to bring back six Neanderthals. As they grow up, they experience a number of challenges due to being different.  In The Rise of the Force, a robot factory owner learning about the first Neanderthals creates his own workforce of Neanderthals and after some detectives learn about them, they recruit a team to help them find and capture elusive criminals.  In The Rise of the Gang, a crime gang leader recruits and trains a team of Neanderthals to commit crimes and thwart the efforts of the New Neanderthals Force working with the cops.

The New World Neanderthals: The Rise of the Gang

Summary

The New Neanderthals: The Rise of the Gang is the second of a series of stories that build on the story in The Neanderthals Are Back. The audiobook begins after the leader of a criminal gang learns from the media about the success of a team of Neanderthals who are helping the cops find and capture criminals. He decides to create a criminal gang of six Neanderthals by obtaining Neanderthals who have been raised to be part of a workforce by the same robot company that provided the cops with their team. The gang leader and his associate will then train these new recruits to commit crimes, such as robberies and hits for revenge, help criminals escape the police, and undermine the efforts of the New World Neanderthals Force. The Rise of the Gang describes how this new gang is recruited and trained. Then, they go on their first two assignments. The first is to steal a marijuana shipment from a rival gang. The second is to help the gang leaders collect protection money from store owners. But can the New Neanderthals Gang accomplish these missions successfully? And what happens when they encounter a series of challenges in undertaking both assignments? The Rise of the Gang tells their story. Future stories in the series describe how the New Neanderthal Gang fares as it undertakes new assignments, has run-ins with the New Neanderthal Force, and encounters new challenges and dangers along the way. Cover art for Making Ethical Choices, Resolving Ethical Dilemmas

Making Ethical Choices, Resolving Ethical Dilemmas

Summary

Making Ethical Choices, Resolving Ethical Dilemmas reflects a new approach to understanding ethics - one's own and others - based on what people actually do and say they do, rather than what they have been taught are the right and ethical things to do. The audiobook has been developed by speaking to people from various backgrounds and discovering the wide range of ethical approaches people use in making everyday choices, and deciding how to handle the ethical conflicts they encounter in their lives. It features a model for understanding the way people make choices based on their style of choosing (rational or intuitive), their philosophy or values (pragmatist or moralist), their orientation (to self or others), and their attitude towards rules (follower or innovator). It describes the zones of ethical choices - from oneself and one’s family and friends to those in the workplace, local community, and society as a whole. It discusses how our approach to making ethical choices changes over time, and provides techniques for dealing with ethical dilemmas in different situations.
