The authors address two of the most significant qualities needed to conquer the mind and reach enlightenment: will and energy.  From The Development of the Will: Every action that enters the system, whether it comes through thought, feeling, desire, or imagination, should be redirected by the power of the will and turned into higher and greater actions. Whenever you think, make it a practice to think with your whole mind.
