Resonance in Singing and Speaking is a classic voice instruction guide by Thomas Fillebrown. Efforts to develop my own voice and the voices of my patients after operations for cleft palate, aided by anatomical study, resulted in a plan for the focusing and development of the human voice quite different from any other yet published or, so far as I know, yet proposed. This plan has proved so successful in my later life that I feel emboldened to offer it as a voice guide for the consideration of speakers and singers.

St. Athanasius
Summary
Athanasius of Alexandria (AD 296 - 373), was the 20th bishop of Alexandria. His intermittent episcopacy lasted 45 years, during which time he was exiled five times. He is known for his theology as a church father, and for being the chief defender of Christian doctrine against Arianism. In 325, at the age of 27, Athanasius began his principle role against the Arian sect as a deacon and assistant to Bishop Alexander during the First Council of Nicaea. Three years after that council, Athanasius succeeded his mentor as archbishop of Alexandria. Gregory of Nazianzus called him the "Pillar of the Church", and his writings are well-regarded both in the East and West. He is sometimes known as the "Father of Orthodoxy", for his defense of the faith and is considered a saint among all ancient churches. In this short book, the well-known author and nun Frances A. Forbes lends her considerable skill to narrating the life of this great saint.

Summary
Pregnancy and childbirth are two very challenging yet rewarding areas of anyone's life. Having bipolar disorder doesn't change that. Having bipolar disorder or having a family history of mental illness does not mean that someone should not or cannot have children. No one would tell someone with a family history of heart disease or diabetes that they cannot or should not have children. No one is genetically perfect. With that being said, I was raised by a parent with bipolar disorder. Also, I am raising children while personally facing the challenges and rewards of having bipolar disorder.
