It is an opened source language. Some of the companies that us GO include Uber, Twitch, Dailymotion, the New York stock exchange, Send Grid, Fabric, Medium. If you learn this language, you will basically be learning the next Python language next to Python or JavaScript. This new programming language is not very well known but it is designed to be super easy to learn and has many of the best features from many top languages. It is also a very user friendly cross platform language. Among the many new streamlined features, it has a built-in garbage collector.
