Will the love of God save us all? In this audiobook Thomas Talbott seeks to expose the extent to which the Western theological tradition has managed to twist the New Testament message of love, forgiveness, and hope into a message of fear and guilt. According to the New Testament proclamation, he argues, God's love is both unconditional in its nature and unlimited in its scope; hence no one need fear, for example, that God's love might suddenly turn into loveless hatred at the moment of one's physical death. For God's love remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. But neither should one ignore the New Testament theme of divine judgment, which Talbott thinks the Western theological tradition has misunderstood entirely. He argues in particular that certain patterns of fallacious reasoning, which crop up repeatedly in the works of various theologians and Bible scholars, have prevented many from appreciating St. Paul's explicit teaching that God is merciful to all in the end. This second edition of Talbott's classic work is fully revised, updated, and substantially expanded with new material.

Jezebel died 3,000 years ago. But her spirit lives today. Jezebel was the most wicked woman in the Bible, a powerful seductress who killed the prophets, led Israel into idolatry and immorality, and emasculated men. She was seductive and determined to snuff out the voices coming against her, because these voices were calling out for repentance. In 21st-century America, Jezebel is not a person. But it’s as if the spirit of Jezebel is alive again today. The influence of the same demonic force is being felt in the massive increase of pornography and sexual temptation, the militant spirit of abortion, the rise of radical feminism, and most importantly, in the attempt to silence prophetic voices. Just as Jezebel clashed with strong men almost three thousand years ago, the demonic spirit of Jezebel is powerful in America, and it is going after the church. This eye-opening book not only unveils the satanic plot to destroy America, beginning with an all-out assault on the church, but it will equip every believer with tools to defeat the enemy in their own personal lives as well as in the nation. This audiobook will show you how the spirit of Jezebel is active in America today and teach you how to protect the church.

In the tradition of such beloved spiritual teachers as Francis MacNutt and Michael Scanlan, Be Healed: A Guide to Encountering the Powerful Love of Jesus in Your Life offers in an audiobook form Bob Schuchts's popular program for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing through the power of the Holy Spirit and the sacraments. This renowned program for spiritual restoration is steeped in scripture and the wisdom of the Catholic Church. Deeply intimate and vulnerable about his own journey of healing, Catholic therapist Bob Schuchts connects with his readers by sharing the series of betrayals he endured in high school - his father's infidelity, his parents' divorce, and his older brother's drug addiction - and his subsequent seasons of struggle with God and faith. Be Healed is based on the program first used in dioceses across the United States to form the hearts and minds of Catholic clergy. Schuchts's trusted process for finding inner peace and healing is now expanded to serve the entire body of Christ, helping people recognize their brokenness and find hope in the risen Christ.

What does an individual contribute to his or her own salvation? Does God wait on the doorsteps of our hearts, quietly hoping to be let in when we decide to open the door? Or does he call us and pursue us in a way we can't resist? The debate between the irresistible call of God and a human being's free will has raged for centuries. So what is the answer? And why does it matter? In Willing to Believe, R. C. Sproul uncovers issues that provoked the Reformation and revived the controversy between Pelagius and Augustine. He carefully explores the relationship between original sin and human free will, clarifies misconceptions about the work of God in a believer's liberation from sin, illuminates the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation, and offers compelling reasons to believe the work of salvation is in God's hands.

Most church members don't see their churches clearly. In almost all of Thom S. Rainer's consultations, church members perceive their church to be friendly. But as he surveyed guests, he found that the guests typically saw church members as unfriendly. The perception chasm existed because the members were indeed friendly, to one another. The guests felt like they crashed a private party. Best-selling author of I Am a Church Member and Autopsy of a Deceased Church, Thom Rainer has a game plan for churches to become more hospitable. In a format that is suitable for church members to listen to individually or together, Rainer guides listeners toward a practical framework for making a difference for those who visit their church. Churches may use Becoming a Welcoming Church to assess and audit where they are on a spectrum between welcoming and wanting. Additionally, churches can use the companion audiobook, We Want You Here, to send guests home with a compelling vision for what pastors want every guest to know when they visit.

In the kingdom of God, it is not us against them. The problem of racism stretches back as far humanity's origin in the book of Genesis. Brother pitted against brother, tribe against tribe - people have warred against one another, fueled by contempt for racial differences. Yet the Gospel is a message of reconciliation. The kingdom of God is us reconciled to one another. Editors Russell Moore and Andrew T. Walker of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) assemble leading voices to frame the issues with a Gospel-centered perspective. The Gospel for Life series gives every believer a biblically saturated understanding of the most urgent issues facing our culture today, because the Gospel is for all of life.

Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world. Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times. What they find will leave you full of hope. God's wrath is not poured out on His people, and He will shield us from it - as he shielded Israel in Egypt during the 10 plagues. So instead of taking comfort in what God hasn't promised, take comfort in the words of Jesus: He has overcome the world, and we live in his victory.

Is Biblical Preaching Doomed to Extinction? In the Old Testament, God decried the fact that his people were perishing for lack of knowledge about him. The same seems to be occurring today. There is sharing, suggesting, plenty of storytelling, and lots of preaching to felt needs in modern pulpits. But the authoritative, expositional opening of the word of God is becoming scarcer all the time. Jesus told Peter, "Feed my sheep" (John 21:17). Such is the mission for all Christ's shepherds. But when preaching is neglected, those who have been called to feed the sheep do little more than pet them. In this audiobook, 11 pastors and scholars issue a fervent plea for preachers to preach the word. Here is encouragement for pastors to persevere in their calling and wisdom to guide congregations in holding their shepherds to the biblical standards.

Well-known around the world for his passionate and powerful preaching, John Piper has distilled over 30 years of preaching experience into one book for the benefit of pastors and other Bible teachers. Building on the foundation laid by his previous two books, A Peculiar Glory and Reading the Bible Supernaturally, Piper makes a compelling claim about the purpose of a sermon: not just an explanation of the text, but awakening worship by being worship. Christian preaching is a God-appointed means of transforming its hearers in both head and heart, not only in intellect but also in affections. With clear examples of specific methods, Piper shows preachers how and what to communicate from the pulpit in a way that takes seriously the task of handling the word of God week in and week out in the context of, and as, Christian worship.

Most people never seize their moment because they are paralyzed by their own thinking. This book will teach you to let go of your excuses and never miss your moment again. Have you convinced yourself the abundant life Jesus came to bring is out of reach? Have you developed an "if only" mentality, waiting for something or someone to turn things around? While you become more and more dependent on your excuses, you watch others get what you want to have, go where you want to go, and experience what you long to feel. It seems it's never your turn to experience the joy that comes from attaining all God has for you. In You Are Next, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez uses the story of Jesus healing the paralytic to powerfully illustrate that your "tendency for dependency" could be standing in the way of your miracle. He challenges you to do what's necessary to receive it, and shows you how to let go of old labels you've allowed to define you; move beyond barriers that limit you; stop seeing yourself as a victim and start seeing your circumstances as subject to the authority and power of Jesus Christ; and let go of the qualifications you think are tacked on to Jesus' command to get up and walk.

How did Jesus teach the Greatest Commandment to his disciples? In his latest book, Reckless Love, author and Pastor Tom Berlin writes that Jesus taught them to love their neighbor first as a way to more deeply love God. In his exploration of Jesus' teaching and travels with his disciples, Berlin suggests that Jesus teaches us how to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength by showing us how to love our neighbor. While many hope to learn to be better family, friends, leaders, and neighbors by finding a deeper relationship with God, what if becoming a better neighbor leads you to that deeper love of God? In Reckless Love, you will consider your life and learn how loving the people around you will completely renew your faith and give you a new experience of loving God.

We live in a society of broken homes. Having parents in the home doesn't mean that parenting is actually happening. Parenting is a God-given task that ensures young children are protected and nurtured into maturity in the fear and admonition of the Lord. But America and the church face a crisis of parenting: detached or absentee fathers, single mothers, and grandparents raising the next generation. What's more, how should parents actually parent? And what does the gospel have to say to the epidemic of family breakdown, and the difficult task of raising children well? So, what now? Editors Russell Moore and Andrew T. Walker of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) assemble leading voices to frame the issue with a gospel-centered perspective. The Gospel for Life series gives every believer a biblically-saturated understanding of the most urgent issues facing our culture today, because the gospel is for all of life.

What is the Lord's Prayer? In The Prayer of the Lord, Dr. R.C. Sproul writes that Jesus' intent was to give his disciples a model prayer, an example to follow, one that would teach them transferrable principles for conversation with God. In short, Christ gave the Lord's Prayer to teach his disciples about prayer, and Dr. Sproul, in his trademark fashion, brings out many of the truths Christ intended for his followers to learn. Listeners will learn how not to pray, then will be led into a deeper understanding of such topics as the fatherhood of God, the kingdom of God, the will of God, the nature of sin and forgiveness, the dangers of temptation, and the cunning of Satan. The final chapter includes questions and answers on various aspects of prayer not covered elsewhere in the book, and the appendix addresses the difficult question of the relationship of God's sovereignty and prayer. The Prayer of the Lord is an eye-opening journey, one that reveals new vistas in familiar terrain.

Having every one of us been in bondage to sin, we readily believe that sinful things are Satanic; but do we believe equally that the things of the world are Satanic? Many of us, I think, are still in two minds about this. Yet how clearly Scripture affirms that "the whole world lieth in the evil one" (1 John 5:19). Satan well knows that, generally speaking, to try to ensnare real Christians through things that are positively sinful is vain and futile. They will usually sense the danger and elude him. So he had contrived instead an enticing network, the mesh of which is so skillfully woven as to entrap the most innocent of men. We flee sinful lusts, and with good reason, but when it comes to such seemingly innocuous things as science and art and education, how readily do we lose our sense of values and fall a prey to his enticements!
