Summary

This Southern, paranormally charged, pulp-fiction thriller takes listeners through the dense woodland and harsh humidity near the Georgia/Florida border, where a ruthless police Captain brutally sustains his local empire.  Helping to enforce the Captain's will are his two proteges, Cliff Ramos and Cooper Cornelius Happenstance, known better as Coop. Ramos is a brilliant and sadistic detective that has always felt apart from the norms of humanity.  Coop is Ramos's older, and very animalistic, mentor, whose instincts are never questioned. Both men have the unique ability to always find trouble, and are in a constant battle with themselves to either accept the demonic urges inside them, or fight to embrace a long-lost humanity in an attempt to reclaim their souls.  But is there a way to do both? When a bizarre murder takes place in a corporate office, Coop's daughter Sam is a potential suspect. He and Ramos are called to action, and since Ramos still longs for the days when he and Sam were lovers, he will protect her at any cost. Who is responsible for this cleverly crafted murder? Is it Woody, Sam's estranged eco-terrorist husband and father to her child? Could it be a local Warlord, The Viking, striking back at Coop for brutally murdering most of his crime syndicate years before? Or does the trail lead closer to home, not only implicating Sam - but even Ramos and Coop? This tale unfolds to hilarious, dark, and violent chapters of human greed, animal desires, and possibly the paranormal, as Ramos, Coop, and the Captain work to protect the people they love, while also maintaining their grip on reality, and ultimately - their sanity.

Walking in Silent Pain: Autobiography About Strength & Resilience

Summary

Frank Rivera is an advocate for not only Sarcoidosis, but also for the rare disease and chronic pain community. This audiobook is about how to rise above adversity and the strength of one person. One person can make a difference if you work hard. Frank has dealt with adversity as a child with leukemia. His mother having health issues herself taught him strength and love. He fought through tough times during his childhood to only find out as an adult, after misdiagnosis, he has a rare disease that has no cure. Even with all of that he still says Sarcoidosis (his rare disease) has made him a better person. Knowing what he has been through he fights to make life better for other rare disease patients. His fight has been hard but he still goes through his life with strength and a smile. Now he is truly fighting for his life! This audiobook is an uplifting audiobook about triumphing over adversity. As Frank says he had two options "I could roll up in a ball or I can fight. I chose to fight and inspire, even if it is just one person. Don't ever judge a book by its cover".

Magnetic Sound Energy

Summary

An inventor goes public and says, "I have created a magnetic sound vibration anti-gravity spaceship." The military hears this and replies, "It's ours now. Also, it does not exist," and sends the inventor to prison for reasons of national security, and the inventor is never heard from again. The news reports it as a standard weather balloon. All notes, documents, and prototypes vanish. And we, the public, are back to paying outrageous high airport travel fees.  Anti-gravity is one of those controversial subjects that some say is more in the realm of science fiction than science fact, with many physicists saying it's just not theoretically possible. In contrast, others are busy trying to find theories that would allow it to be possible. But the problem with that is this: A theory is meaningless without action - for example, a prototype to back it up.

Thawing the Groom's Heart

Summary

Sally Johnson is sick of her life - sick of the upper class, sick of the social gatherings, sick of the dirty, bustling city, and truly sick of never feeling as though she is good enough.  When the odious son of a failing steel baron announces they are engaged in order to marry into her rich family, Sally is truly fed up. Taking her life in her hands, she runs away and decides to become a mail-order bride. Before she knows it, Sally is in Shallow Gulch, Idaho, married to a handsome, stoic rancher named Karl Homer. She cooks for him, cleans for him, takes care of his infant daughter - but all along, she suspects she is not cut out for this life. A marriage of necessity to an aloof man is certainly not what she hoped for, but there seems no way out of her new predicament. It’s only when disaster strikes that things change - and Sally begins to suspect that, against all odds, she’s falling in love with her own husband.

Past Wars and Tactics

Summary

Maps can be useful in war, but many of the things they are helpful for can be achieved by other means, at least to an extent. An ancient or medieval commander wouldn't have an accurate map of the land he's campaigning on, but reconnaissance could help him learn about it. He might not have a map of the battlefield he was fighting on, and if he did, then it would probably be very primitive, but again reconnaissance could help him learn about it. He probably wouldn't have a map to help him keep track of troops who were outside his visual range and, again, if he did, it was probably pretty primitive. Still, he'd be able to contact them with trumpets, drums, and couriers, and armies were more compact back then, so they wouldn't be that far away. I still think ancient, and medieval armies would have used maps if they were available after all if a tool is available that can help you win, then why not use it?

Tales of Fairytales (24)

Summary

According to all known aviation laws, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. The same thing goes for fairies by our laws and science. It's impossible for fairies, elves, leprechauns, and all other mysterious fantasy creatures to exist, but yet there they are. They live in fairytales; they live by campfire stories; they live by our generations of storytellers from our fathers’, mothers’, grandparents, and in books. There are archived files from multiple government officials, documents, sealed, written reports, and facts on these creatures.
