Marriage counselor Nancy Werlock didn't want to take over the family business. Unfortunately for her fate, and a bunch of conniving but well-meaning spirits, have other plans. Now Nancy finds herself fumbling through exorcisms and training a sexy new apprentice. Because for Werlock women, the family business is demonology. And at the Three Wishes Boutique, the customer may not always be right, but he may very well be possessed. This collection of two short stories is approximately 6,900 words. The Inquest: Nancy already has her hands full trying to hold her marriage counseling practice together while keeping her mother's shop open. But now she also has to worry about a friend making unwelcome advances on her new apprentice, gossip-hungry rivals, and a full blown Inquest into the recent activities of the dead but still meddlesome Grande Madame Vivika. Mother Knows Worst: What happens when a pushy spirit with a knack for erosmancy decides to play Cupid? Let's just say it makes for an awkward working relationship between a demonologist and her apprentice. This is the second release in the series. The first release is Nancy Werlock's Diary: Dear Diary (sold separately).

Running parallel to the conventional history of Liverpool ... there is an unseen seam of supernatural stories that have been largely ignored by the strait-laced historians,' says Torn Slemen, who is, of course, fascinated by this other history and no subject matter is too strange or too terrifying to merit his scrutiny. While some stories may prove to be nothing more than urban myths, many turn out to be only too spine-chillingly true. Take for example the phantom mare of Dovecot House, which wreaked revenge on Ralph Walsh, the man who had poisoned her... Plus: The chilling case of the greedy Toxteth man who was willing to sacrifice the soul of a homeless man to obtain the winning Euromillions Lottery numbers from the Devil The psychopathic doppelganger that attempted to kill its flesh-and-blood counterpart. The "Red Menace" - a ghastly zombie-like being that has stalked Liverpool children for decades. The Phantom Road that appears on the M62 and hypnotically draws motorists to their deaths. The gut-wrenching story of the Wind from Hell - when a raging hurricane uprooted trees and coffins galore in St James's Cemetery - was it a natural occurrence - or the result of a gypsy's curse? This story is not to be read if you have a weak stomach! The well-documented case of the "Sefton Park Vampires" who terrorised a party of students in the 1960s. The boy who was stalked by a "fetch" - a creepy little wizened figure of an old woman who followed the child home to...well, you'll have to read the book to find out. The terrifying case of a bizarre, apparently cannibalistic entity known as "Hilty" who had his lair in a derelict house on William Henry Street The bizarre case of the four suicides committed across Liverpool on the same night that linked up to form a perfect geometric design on a map of the city... Plus many more strange tales from Liverpool's darker side...

Granny has a new addition to her arsenal of crime fighting weapons as Fuchsia, Minnesota's most colorful detective. Now, along with her famous crook-hooking umbrella, she's acquired a scoundrel-skewering knitting needle. And just in time! Residents of Fuchsia seem to be dropping dead like flies! First, it's Granny's neighbor Sally (who gives up the ghost in her weed-filled front yard), followed by Esmeralda Periwinkle (the squirrel lover on Main Street), and then, Mr. Nail, owner of the local hardware store (who is squashed when dozens of bags of fertilizer fall on top of him). Granny is baffled. Who is behind this murder spree? Granny enlists the help of her sort-of-boyfriend Franklin Gatsby, the town's police chief Cornelius Stricknine (or "The Big Guy"), her reality-show loving neighbor Mavis, and her own son Thor. And, of course, the special assistance of her menagerie of pets - including Mr. Bleaty, the goat. Soon Granny is hot on the trail of this dastardly murderer. Unfortunately, when Granny herself is poisoned, everyone insists that she cool her crime solving ways and stay indoors and out of harm's way. Of course, that's never going to happen! Not when Granny knows all the secret passageways and tunnels that run underneath Fuchsia. Out she goes - and watch out, you evil doers! Granny will solve this mystery - you can bet your pink undies, she will!

Granny may be retired as Fuchsia, Minnesota's one-woman undercover sleuth for the Fuchsia Police Department, but that doesn't mean she still doesn't need a trusty weapon. Her weapon of choice? A pink snow shovel. When Granny runs over a dead body with her snowmobile, she unwittingly sets off a chain of events that involves mislabeled corpses, empty graves, and stolen money - lots of it! Who's at the bottom of this years-old crime? Granny has an idea, but she has little time to investigate, when in just days she's scheduled to marry the love of her life, Franklin Gatsby, in a post-Christmas ceremony. So, Granny decides to enlist the help of her friends and neighbors. Add in Christmas holiday excitement and the arrival of Granny's family, who are all there for her wedding, and mayhem ensues. Of course, Granny can always count on her many furry friends to provide her with moral support, but it's quite possible that Granny - that is, Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt - has a secret or two of her own, which may very well be revealed as Granny Snows a Sneak.
