Summary

In every generation, certain writers are chosen to be protectors of The Legendarium, a metaphysical library that exists at the nexus of the multiverse. Inside this library are doorways that lead to every world ever created in literature. There are forces of evil constantly at work to destroy the library and send the world back into an age of darkness. Now, in a time of growing illiteracy, two heroes are chosen to defend The Legendarium. Bombo Dawson, newly published author and the hero of Michael Bunker's novella Hugh Howey Must Die!, and Alistair Foley, aspiring author and Bombo's harshest critic, become unlikely partners in a mission to protect The Legendarium. Their adventures will take them across the worlds of literature, but will hostile enemies learn to work together before the accumulated knowledge of all of humanity is lost forever?

Summary

The year is 2065 and an accidental encounter in space leads to the discovery that we are not alone in the universe - and that our continued existence as a species may be in jeopardy. Chris Holt, working in his office at the Space Resources Corporation, discovers that one of the asteroids he is surveying for mining is actually not an asteroid at all but a derelict spaceship. The word gets out and soon the world's powers are competing to explore and claim for themselves the secrets that it holds. What they don't know is that across the galaxy, a war has been underway for millennia. A war between alien civilizations that have very different ideas about what should be done about emerging spacefaring civilizations like our own. The artificial intelligence resident in the derelict Holt discovered has been in our solar system since before the dawn of human civilization, watching, waiting and keeping quiet lest the interstellar war return and wipe out the sentient race that now resides there - humanity. And that war might soon be again coming to our front door. The truth can only be discovered on Methone, a tiny, egg-shaped moon of the planet Saturn. Who will get there first? And will it be in time?

Mark of the Hero

Summary

Jon Eddington was just a simple young dude fresh out of college when his grandfather, an archeologist named Jack, passed away. Jack leaves his New York house and everything in it to Jon, including an ancient Celtic pool he discovered long ago. One night, a strange storm blew in and Jon was blown into the mysterious pool and wakes up in a strange world known as Meridian.  Things become more strange when a mark suddenly appears on his right palm; a triskelion. Stranger still was the power that the mark holds. Facing strange shadow-like creatures, the Mark gives Jon the power to vanquish them easily. Meeting a couple of pointed-eared soldiers Jon learns are called the Aelfar, they take him to a small industrial city of steampunk and smoke. Not knowing just what he was doing in the world of Meridian or why he was given the Mark, the answers all quickly become clear when he finds that he carries the Mark of the Hero. The mark also holds an omen of great calamity to come to Meridian. Jon finds that he was not the only human Hero to wear such mark but it doesn't bode well for him when he learns that none of the former heroes are alive and there's no way for him to learn how to harness the powers of the Mark. What's more, he must be the one to end the calamity and slay a Trith'ar witch before she conquers the world.  Jon must bide his time and acclimate himself in a Victorian-Esque society he is sure are full of elves and dwarves while trying to prepare himself for what was to come.

The Not-so-Innocents Abroad

Summary

It is 1867 in an America a layer of existence from this one.

General Sherman was denied his march through Georgia by forces beyond his ken. Abraham Lincoln was never assassinated, though he wishes he had been killed instead of his beloved Mary. The battered Indian tribes of America have a strange refuge courtesy of the cursed Texas Ranger Captain Samuel McCord.

A global war of vampire kingdoms is going on beneath the noses of the living world - and it is interfering with the honeymoon of the alien empress Meilori Shinseen. She ruled the Aztecs when a political execution took place on Golgotha. Meilori commissioned the sphinx to take her mind off repairing her starcraft. The warring vampire rulers have mistaken her boredom with ruling the nations of man as weakness. They have made a grave error, emphasis on the word grave.

What is a not-quite-mortal groom to do? Survive as best he can.

Vampires, vengeful spirits of the earth, aliens among us, and a man with the blood of death in his veins trying to keep it from being spilled before his honeymoon is over. Come join the maiden voyage of the first air/steamship, the Xanadu, where murder, intrigue, and betrayal reign supreme...and that is just in the newlywed's bedroom.

Joining the newlyweds are Mark Twain, 11-year-old Nikola Tesla, his faithful black cat, Macak, Horace Greely, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Ada Byron, daughter of Lord Byron, and the mysterious Greek physician Lucanus.

Lurking in the shadows, hoping to kill them, is the insane Abraham Lincoln, the crippled General Sherman, the vampires, Abigail Adams and Benjamin Franklin, Empress Theodora, ruler of the Unholy Roman Empire, and the vengeful Captain Nemo, following in his nautilus.

Steampunk intrigue and adventure was never so much fun.

Now, a new old enemy rises and threatens reality itself, and as improbable as it sounds, only Bombo Dawson and Alistair Foley can stop it.  Can these two frenemies manage to work together again to save the Legendarium a second time? Or, will the world be cast into a dystopian nightmare from which it may never recover? Find out in Legendarium: The Wrath of Bob.
