Summary
Accounts of murders, torture, and massacres of colonists and Native Americans were reported in early historical journals. Heinous stories, that will bring a renewed understanding of the terrible costs of western expansion; a cost paid in full by the Natives and those that thought it just to take their lands. At the beginning of the year 1754, a few colonists' cabins began to appear on the western side of the Allegheny mountains. The British western expansion gave rise to the French and Indian War. The conflict was begun over French and British claims over the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers called the Forks of the Ohio. From 1775 to 1783, during the American Revolution, resources and manpower were unavailable to the beleaguered settlers. Another 10 years would pass before the Native Americans relinquished their lands. Native Americans and colonists were engaged in a war of extermination that included women and children. Numerous atrocities were being committed by both parties. Somber tales that few have heard, but reveal the heavy price in blood that both parties paid for those lands of the Ohio River.

The Native American: Book of the Dead
Summary
The Native Americans believed that the soul never dies, and death was a transition from this world to the next. Preparation for this journey was diverse across the vast geographical expanse of North America. Burials could be above ground on a scaffold or tree, cremation, mummification, sometimes the bones were saved, and a mass burial was conducted, caves and fissures in rocks were used to inter the dead. Some buried the owner's horses and dogs with the body. Human sacrifice was practiced, slaying the wives or slaves and placing them within the graves. Some tribes left the remains to elements to be eaten by wild animals. In contrast, lavish burial mounds were constructed over the dead. Ghosts of the dead were feared, and in some cases, the corpse was immediately buried, and their house burned that the spirit may not return. The mourning rituals were just as diverse. Many tribes mourned the dead for extended periods that included cutting their hair and gashing their bodies with wounds or even cutting off their fingers to show their grief. Somber crying and wailing could be heard for days in the villages. Eighty-three different tribes' burial rituals are described in detail from first-hand accounts. Mysteries of Ancient America: Uncovering the Forbidden
Summary
This is a compilation of historical accounts that contradict everything we have been taught about ancient America. The accounts are substantiated by the testimony of the Native Americans who lived in the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley regions of North America. American Indians speak of a people who were skilled in arts and engaged in trade whose remains could be found in the burial mounds. These legends are validated by the hundreds of miles of canals extending into the Mississippi River and the extensive copper and lead mines. Early settlers in the Ohio Valley described ancient cities with well-defined evidence of streets laid out at regular intervals and intersected at right angles with other streets. Stone macadamized roads were also evidence of an industrious people engaged in commerce. New information from the British Isles places the Celtic peoples on the Island earlier than previously believed. The Celtic pagan religion is superimposed on ancient sites in the Ohio Valley with indistinguishable characteristics. Ancient ceremonial sites in the Ohio Valley are re-examined under the looking glass of the Celtic Gods and Goddesses. The ancient mound builders practiced a cult of the dead and buried their deceased in burial mounds to act as portals to connect the living with the dead. These portals remain open today and are the gateways for much of the paranormal activity found in the Great Lakes region. While not the focus of the stories presented, many of the skeletons discovered at the ancient sites were of gigantic size. The connection to the paranormal is elaborated in the Book of Enoch, “And now the Giants, who have been begotten from body and flesh, will be called evil spirits on earth, and their dwelling-places will be upon the earth.” New documentation is presented that solves the mystery of who were the Hopewell Mound Builders. The Dakota Sioux legends place them in the Ohio Valley at the time when the great geometric earthworks were being constructed. They were called “The Snake People” by the Algonquins. Identical serpent effigies are found in the historic Dakota lands that overlap the Hopewell interaction sphere. Other Indians tribes concur in their legends that this was true along with age-old place names that corroborate the Dakota Sioux as the builders of the effigy mounds in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, and Indiana.
