In the short term, eating small, frequent meals every day may help those with hypoglycemia by stabilizing their blood sugar. These people feel good for a while. However, eventually — usually between six and nine months — people notice that they feel hungry all the time. They gain weight and can’t seem to lose it. In an effort to combat the obesity epidemic, for many years scientists and medical experts have been trying to find the secret to weight loss. Finally, groundbreaking research has found the answer, and it’s so simple that it may easily be overlooked. However, sometimes the simple solutions are the most powerful. Human nature, with its ego, tends to complicate everything, essentially making solutions to problems harder to find. The secret to losing weight and keeping it off, as well as to improving one’s health, is reducing eating frequency. If you get only one thing out of this book, keep this in mind: Eat only once or twice per day and do not have any snacks at all. Properly timing meals and eating less frequently is important for everyone who wants to remain healthy and have energy, not only for people who want to lose weight.
